Jarman International CEO, Ruth Marie Jarman, spoke about what we can do right now (on the individual and organizational level) to transform Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) from an idea into implementable action. Although it may be simple to understand the definitions and policies of DE&I, it can be very challenging to integrate that thinking into everyday behaviors and decisions. Despite the challenges however, Ruth highlighted the importance of recognizing that diversity builds organizational strength, and ultimately, benefits all parties involved.
During the online Zoom meeting with the Japan Management Association (JMA) on August 2, Ruth also shared strategies on how to create a workspace where all parties are happy, satisfied and able to thrive.
