Bio:
Remi Shimazu is an American YouTuber and freelance content creator. She started her career at creative advertising agencies in San Francisco and Los Angeles, working with clients such as Volkswagen, Hulu, Heinz, Stone Brewing, and more! Remi left the advertising world to pursue her own creative endeavors, which led to her starting a YouTube channel focused, initially, on Los Angeles tourism. Her channel pivoted towards Japan tourism after borders re-opened to internationals at the end of 2022.
Although born in Fukuoka, Japan, she was adopted and raised by third-generation Japanese-Americans in Los Angeles, CA. Her videos take her audience with her as she learns and discovers more about the country she was born in but was not raised in. Since her audience consists mostly of people who have already visited Japan and are planning another trip back, she provides ideas for new places to visit along with Japan travel tips to make their journey easier.

Riding themed or retro trains through different areas of Japan is my favorite! I love hopping on and off the Enoden in Kamakura/Fujisawa and checking out new cafes or small shops at various stops.
