BIO: Worked for a Japanese food and drink importer in London for four years where he was wooed into the world of sake by a sake brewer. In 2014, he came to Japan and has since been involved in a variety of capacities in the sake industry. He has visited over 100 breweries, worked as Tokyo sales rep for Tatenokawa Shuzo in Yamagata Prefecture, as marketing and sales support for KURAND, written for the Saketimes, facilitated and hosted numerous workshops for corporate clients and facilitated events for the Japan Sake & Shochu Makers Association including International Sake Day in 2021. In 2017 he became a WSET sake educator and teaches both level 3 and 1 in Tokyo. Other skills include a wealth of experience in sake-related translation and experience interpreting for sake brewery tours including work for National Research Institute of Brewing and JETRO among many others. He is also a co-host on the Sake on Air podcast and co-produces the SIPPON YouTube channel. During the day he works for a Digital Marketing Company supporting their global communication and English Language marketing. He likes nothing more than to share his passion for sake with other people.
