Hotel and Residence Roppongi is a 2 year old renovated hotel that has a boutique feel where modern interior design mixes with a vintage atmosphere. They have different types of rooms with different themes and designs.
One of their rooms, “4cube” was originally designed for female guests in mind. The designer has divided room space into 4 cubes and designed them to function like a small house as a whole. Room is simple but cozy and come equipped with all the expected amenities : Comfortable bed with a small sofa chair next to it, flat-screen TV, A/C, clean bathroom with free organic soup set, in room safe & reliable free Wi-Fi. You can rent beauty treatment devices such as steamer, curling and flat irons too. These are nice as we wouldn’t have to worry about packing every little additional thing.
This cute stylish room is now nicely decorated with several art works by photographer, Ikuo Kubota. Obtaining hints from “Furniture Music” by a French composer, Erik Satie, Mr. Kubota started working on his unique photo project “Picture Furniture” in 2009. Aiming to create a photograph not to be tired of seeing and independent of time and a place to a viewer, he sticks to a white tone and try to condense an expected impact of his work in a muted way. In the opposite end of commercial images, his art works are neutral and merge into any time and place like furniture.
The hotel is serene and inviting, ideal as a stress-busting retreat in. Stay in our “4cube” room and enjoy getting into an unique white world with his works.
